Salon Stolz

Für das neu eröffnete Museum “Salon Stolz” bei der Senior:innenresidenz Robert Stolz in Graz hat das DMT Team mit der Hilfe von drei Masterstudierenden sechs Exhibits entwickelt.

Instrumentenwürfel

VR-Dirigent

Auf einer VR Brille kann mittels Hand ein Orchester in 3D virtuell dirigiert werden. Dabei werden über die Dirigiergeschwindigkeit das 360-Grad-Video und der Raum-Sound gesteuert.

Melodien Memory

BesucherInnen können mit RFID-Karten ein Sound-Memory spielen. Beim Finden von richtigen Karten-Paaren wird ein „Erfolgssound“ gespielt und die BesucherInnen können die Karten von Tisch nehmen.

Sound Kulisse

Es gibt 12 Soundkarten mit RFID Tags. Die BesucherInnen können zwischen zwei Spiel-Modis (selektierbar mittels Buttons) wählen.

  • Spielmodus 1: Die Sounds der 12 Karten werden der Reihe nach abgespielt.
  • Spielmodus 2: Die Sounds der Karten wird parallel abgespielt (Soundkulisse).

Instrumenten Würfel

Die BesucherInnen müssen sechs Würfel richtig platzieren, um ein Video eines Musikinstrumentes zu sehen.

Komponier Maschine

BesucherInnen können auf einer Drehscheibe verschiedene Objekte platzieren. Über eine Sensorik wird an 5 Sensorpunkten die Objekte erkannt und bei Erkennung jeweils ein Soundfile abgespielt.

Lebensraum

Während ein Video abgespielt wird, bewegen sich sieben Musikinstrumente passend zur Musik auf und ab.

Ausstellungsorte

Unsere Exhibits erfreuen in vielen Ländern internationales Publikum. Größtenteils sind sie im Rahmen von Wanderausstellungen in Bereich von Europa zu sehen gewesen oder gerade ausgestellt. Aber auch in Trinidad Tobago interagierten Kinder und Jugendliche mit unseren Exhibits.

Ausstellung
at Haus der Wissenschaft, Graz, Österreich [2011|01 – 2012|05]

Die Ausstellung „Der Mensch“ vermittelt multimedial sämtliche Facetten des menschlichen Körpers und Geistes. Kinder, Jugendliche und Erwachsene tauchen in eine interaktive Wunderwelt ein und begeben sich auf eine Reise in ihr Innerstes.

Der Fachbereich DMT entwickelte für die Reihe der Ausstellungen zum Thema „Der Mensch“ eine Vielzahl von multimedialen interaktiven Installationen mit unterschiedlichsten Schwerpunkten und Technologien. 

Sprechender Torso

Der sprechende Torso ermöglicht es Jugendlichen durch die Ravensburger tiptoi Technologie mehr über ihren eigenen Körper zu erfahren. Anstelle Informationen über die Menschlichen Organe in Büchern stur auswendig zu lernen, kann mithilfe des Ravensburger tiptoi Stift mit den Organen direkt interagiert werden. Der sprechende Torso unterstützt entdeckerisches Lernen. Neben gesprochenen Erklärungstexten für die einzelnen Organe kann das erworbene Wissen spielerisch überprüft werden. Dies alles wird durch Antippen mit dem tiptoi Stift ermöglicht. Die zu vermittelten Inhalte werden somit auditiv, visuell und haptisch vermittelt.

discover IT

Ausstellung
at Medienkunstlabor, Kunsthaus Graz, Graz, Österreich [2007|05]

Studierende des Studiengangs Informationsmanagement realisierten für die Ausstellung „discover IT“ kreative und interaktive Multimediaprojekte. Die Installationen aus dem Fachbereich Digital Media Technologies waren vom 24. bis 27. Mai 2007 im Kunsthaus Graz zu sehen.

Von einer Visual Drum Session mit Soundwürfeln, einer Laserharfe ohne Saiten bis hin zu einem Magic Book, das LeserInnen durch virtuelle menschliche Organe blättern lässt – die BesucherInnen der Ausstellung „discover IT“ wurden in eine virtuelle Welt entführt. Ganz nach dem Motto „touch, explore, discover – werden Sie eins mit den Exponaten“ konnten BesucherInnen außerdem durch den menschlichen Körper rudern und Musik selbst zeichnen oder mit Holzblöcken erbauen. Darüber hinaus bestand die Möglichkeit, einen Liebesbrief per SMS auf dem größten Display der Stadt, der BIX Wall des Kunsthauses Graz, erscheinen zu lassen.

Visual Drum Session
Die Visual Drum Session bietet die Möglichkeit durch visuelle Darstellung von Würfeln Schlagzeug zu spielen. Diese Würfel werden auf einem Gitternetz platziert. Das Feld entspricht einem Takt welcher automatisch nach einer gewissen Zeit wiederholt wird. Durch gefinkeltes Platzieren von verschiedenen Würfeln wird es möglich eine fantastische Schlagzeug-Komposition zu kreieren.

Laserharfe
Die Laserharfe kombiniert die zeitlose Erscheinung eines stilvollen und edlen Instruments mit moderner Medientechnologie. Mit Hilfe der Harfe lassen sich am angeschlossenen Computer die Töne der C-Dur Tonleiter erzeugen. Das Gerät verzichtet dabei auf herkömmliche Saiten und verwendet stattdessen Lichtschranken um Töne erklingen zu lassen.

TimeShift
Das Projekt „TimeShift” eröffnet Ihnen die Möglichkeit durch Ihren Körper ein Fenster in die Vergangenheit zu öffnen und darin einzutauchen. Sehen Sie was sich in der Vergangenheit an diesem Ort zugetragen hat, wer hier war und was er tat. Vielleicht treffen Sie ja auf eine ältere und gleichzeitig jüngere Version von sich Selbst. Nichts was hier vor sich geht bleibt unbemerkt. Sobald Sie den „TimeShift” betreten werden Sie ein Teil davon und all das was Sie jetzt tun bleibt für die Nachwelt erhalten.

Ready to Row
Ready to Row bietet Ihnen die Möglichkeit, durch einen in Scheiben geschnittenen Körper eines Mannes zu gleiten. Für weniger tief forschendes Rudervergnügen kann man sich auch durch die Straßen von Graz rudern, selbstverständlich stilecht und rückwärts.

Tempora Dinumerans
Das Projekt Tempora Dinumerans zeigt die Verknüpfung zwischen Raum und Zeit, indem der Raum mit Hilfe der Uhr (Zeit) beeinflusst wird. Somit kann der/die BenutzerIn mit unserer Installation in die Welt von Raum und Zeit eintauchen und so die Geschwindigkeit, mit der man die Realität erleben möchte, selbst wählen.

My Inner Body
Das „My Inner Body”-Buch beschreibt eine völlig neue Möglichkeit aus Büchern zu lernen. Das MIB-Buch ist eine, für Kinder entwickelte Anwendung, die durch das menschliche Verdauungssystem führt. Das MIB-Buch erlaubt unter Verwendung von „Augmented Reality”-Technologien, eine Darstellung von 3-Dimensionalen Organen direkt auf den Seiten des Buches. Neben der Ausstellung discoverIT wurde das „My Inner Body”-Buch ebenso in der Ausstellung “Der Mensch” im Haus der Wissenschaft in Graz der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert.

area|m
area|m ist ein vollkommen neuartiger, multimedialer Einrichtungsgegenstand der die Besucher begeistern wird. Diverse Spiele machen den Aufenthalt außergewöhnlich, einzigartig und unterhaltsam. Je nach Anwendung werden auf die Tischoberfläche unterschiedlichste Grafiken projiziert. Bei Berührung der Oberfläche oder beim Hinstellen von Gegenständen werden diese erkannt und lösen verschiedene Reaktionen am Tisch aus.

SMS to BIX
„SMS to BIX” ist eine Installation die es Passanten und Passantinnen ermöglicht, direkt mit der BIX Wall des Kunsthauses in Graz interagieren zu können. Das Konzept von „SMS to BIX” erlaubt es, den Inhalt der auf der BIX Wall angezeigt wird, individuell zu gestalten. Sei es um einen Gruß zu senden, ein persönliches Statement abzugeben oder um auf einem Medium präsent zu sein, das normalerweise nicht beeinflussbar ist.

MPC – Manual Product Control
Computer bestimmen immer mehr den Alltag von vielen Menschen.  MPC — Manual Product Control stellt eine Möglichkeit dar einen Computer auf eine andere Art zu steuern. MPC kann in Museen oder auf Messen als innovatives Produktpräsentationsmedium eingesetzt werden. Durch einfach Handbewegungen können direkt Bilder, Videos oder 3D Objekte (zum Beispiel von Museuumsobjekten) gesteuert und manipuliert werde.

The Sound of Drawing
„The Sound of Drawing” ist eine medientechnische Einrichtung, bei der Gezeichnetes in Töne und sogar zusammenhängende Musik umgewandelt werden kann. Der Fantasie des Benutzers sind keine Grenzen gesetzt. Diese für jung und alt entwickelte Installation besteht aus einem Overhead-Projektor, mit einem Aufsatz für eine Endlosfolie. Auf dieser Folie können mit einem Stift beliebige Figuren gezeichnet werden, die mit einer Webcam gefilmt werden. Eine speziell dafür angefertigte Software tastet das eingelesene Bild ab und wandelt die gezeichneten Formen in Töne um.

Leselust

Leselust – die Wanderausstellung zum Lesen und Hören: Sechs spannende Geschichten für vier verschiedene Altersgruppen. Mittels Ravensburger Lesestifte können von Erstleser bis Erwachsene interaktive Geschichten erleben und Quizfragen beantworten.
